victor-segalenVictor Segalen (1878-1919), médecin naval, ethnographe, archéologue, sinologue, écrivain, publie Stèles en 1912, un recueil composé alors qu’il réside en Chine. Il écrit aussi sur Rimbaud, sur Gauguin et sur la Polynésie. Un autre recueil, Peintures, paraît en 1916. Le roman René Leys est publié de manière posthume en 1922. Son corps est retrouvé le 23 mai 1919 en forêt, au Huelgoat, en Bretagne. Victor Segalen (1878-1919) was a French Naval doctor, ethnographer, sinologist, archaeologist, writer. In 1912 Steles was published, a book of poems conceived whilst travelling through China. He wrote also on Rimbaud, on Gauguin and on Polynesia, and another book of poems, Peintures, was published in 1916. He died by accident in a forest in Huelgoat, France with an open copy of Hamlet at his side. His novel René Leys was published posthumously (1922).

Paul Stubbs is the author of three poetry collections, The Theological Museum (Flambard), The Icon Maker (Arc Publications), The End of the Trial of Man (Arc Publications, 2015), of two long poems, Ex Nihilo and Flesh (Black Herald Press) and of a book of essays about Arthur Rimbaud, The Carbonized Earth. He also co-edits The Black Herald. À son actif, également, un recueil d’essais portant sur Arthur Rimbaud, The Carbonized Earth. Il codirige la revue The Black Herald.
