August Stramm (1874-1915) was born in Münster, Germany. A poet and playwright he had only two books of poems published in his lifetime. He was considered one of the German Expressionists. He served in the German army and was killed in action during World War I. August Stramm(1874-1915), poète expressionniste et dramaturge né à Münster, Allemagne, ne publia que deux recueils de son vivant. Il fut tué au combat durant la Première guerre mondiale.

Will Stone is a poet literary translator, the author of two collections Glaciation (Salt, 2007) and Drawing in Ash (2011). His translations of the Belgian poets Emile Verhaeren and Georges Rodenbach will be published by Arc in 2012 and he also translated Rilke in Paris by Maurice Betz (Hesperus Press 2012).

Anthony Vivis is known mainly as the translator of Fassbinder, Karge and Kroetz. His translations of German drama have been staged by the RNT, the RSC, the Royal Court, most recently in Toronto. He has been translating German drama and poetry since 1966.

Elisabeth Willenz est née à Paris en 1962. Alors qu’elle étudie la littérature allemande, sa rencontre au début des années 80 avec Xavier Legrand-Ferronnière, fondateur de la revue Le Visage Vert, détermine sa future carrière de traductrice. Elle traduit surtout des nouvelles, parfois de la bande dessinée.
